Best Of Hair Talk History

Before HairBoutique.com was launched in March of 1998, it had a life on the Web known as The Long Hair Video site which was launched during the period of late 1996 - early 1997.  That first site included a message board known as Hair Talk.  When that first Hair Talk was launched, it literally included just one thread for consumers who wanted to talk about their hair.  Specifically it related to long hair.

When the current version of HairBoutique.com was launched the Hair Talk boards remained although the site was completely redesigned and reformatted to include talk about all types of consumer hair issues for men, women, children of all ages. 

Over the years the Hair Talk board continued to grow to encompass a wide range of "topics".  As of the beginning of December of 2005 Hair Talk contained 65 different "talk" forums with 234,239 posts in 36,262 different topics related to hair and beauty. There were 14,095 Forum Members.

For a new visitor to HairTalk, the amount of information is overwhelming.  Therefore this special section was created to highlight special information that would be of interest.

If you are a frequent visitor to The Hair Boutique chances are that you have wandered over to the Original Hair Talk board. Over 6,000 different postings have been added to Hair Talk since the board began over 2 years ago. Because of the sheer number of messages we have had to slowly migrate some of the messages to the Hair Boutique archives.

While all of the Hair Talk threads are always worthwhile and interesting, some of the threads contain technical hair related information that I know Hair Boutique visitors would love to have available.
