Kate Gosselin lives her life in the public eye. As the famous mother of the reality show "Kate Plus Eight", her iconic short haircut was one of the most popular Halloween costumes in 2009.

In January of 2010 Kate made headlines for making a major hair transformation. She dumped her short iconic hairstyle in favor of long lush blonde tresses courtesy of fusion style hair extensions.

Kate's new hair extensions were created for her by world famous New York hairstylist Ted Gibson and were said to take approximately 20 hours to create.

Kate wearing her new hair extensions appeared on the cover of People Magazine.

When asked about her new hairstyle she told People "I'm starting over. It's good to have hair again. I never thought I'd have short hair for as long as I did. I feel like this is a fresh start, a fresh me, a fresh life. I'm rebuilding. There's no option for this not to be a good year. Now I get to start over with a new self and new goals."
