Ryan Seacrest interviewed the actress as she made her way along the Red Carpet towards the show.

Although she was very pleasant and charming with Ryan, she seemed saddened and somewhat uncomfortable by Ryan's questions regarding Heath Ledger, her co-star in The Dark Knight film. Heath was nominated for a Golden Globe based on his work as The Joker before his unexpected death.
The actress told Ryan "she was presenting" at the awards. When asked by Ryan how it felt to be there without Heath Maggie said "well you know, we did an entire press junket where we were asked" that very same question. She proceeded to explain "I completely understand, I get it" why people would want to know about Heath as a result of his untimely death and the ultimate impact to the movie.
However, it all seemed bittersweet for her and although she didn't say it, it almost seemed like she was tired of discussing Heath and his untimely death in connection with the film.
She told Ryan "losing Heath was hard" and "you know its hard with lights everywhere to talk about a friend who died". Maggie said "Heath was phenomenal, an astonishing actor". She said he lifted and elevated the film. Maggie said "I hope he (Heath) wins".
The elegant Maggie told Ryan "I am so proud of this movie (The Dark Knight)" and we "really appreciate" the interest in the film and the nomination for Heath.
She explained she would be presenting at the awards and she did present with her Dark Knight co-star, Aaron Eckhart.
Heath Ledger did win the Golden Globe award and when he did win, a special clip of his work in the Dark Knight was played for the audience. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
