Eve Chases Sneakers On Numb3rs

On Friday, February 6th, the popular CBS TV series Numb3rs featured Rapper Eve aka Eve Jihan Jeffers as a guest star.  Eve co-starred as La-La Buendia, an expert exotic shoe broker.

Eve is a rapper, singer, actress and musician.  She has sold millions of albums during her musical career.  In 2003, she was the star of her own TV show, Eve.

Eve's character encounters the FBI team of David Sinclair (Alimi Ballard) and Nikki Betancourt (Sophina Brown) in the process of putting on a rare shoe auction and discovering the theft of rare sneakers.

Eve was important to the case of the stolen shoes because she had extensive expertise in the underground world of buying and selling sneakers.  She was able to provide the FBI with inside information on the world of exotic shoe traders.

The title of the episode is "Sneakerhead".  A foreign Ambassador finds his prized pair of sneakers missing.  The shoes known as Primers are at the heart of the case which involves the murder of a homeless man.  The case was very complicated involving the shoes in question being stolen more than once.

Of course Don Epps' brother Charlie gets involved in the case which eventually involves duplicate faux shoes.  There is also a sub plot involving Don and his current ladylove and whether or not she will move away.

Ultimately, the rare shoes, worth over a quarter of million dollars are found in a closet by the son of an ambassador of a foreign country.  The son, not aware how much the shoes are worth puts them on his feet, which drastically reduces the value of the shoes.  Even worse, he wears them in the rain while playing basketball.

The son thinks the shoes were a surprise gift from his dad and doesn't stop to ask and doesn't realize they are collectibles.  Instead he wears the shoes which is a major shock to the father who was a collector.
