Interoffice Romance Gone Bad On The Closer

TNT's dramedy series, The Closer, is so entertaining I can't bear to miss even one episode.  I even watch with both of my eyes rather than just one, which is my standard way of viewing TV shows.

I just love Kyra Sedgwick as Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson.  She is a fabulous actress and the character of Chief Brenda Johnson offers a wealth of possibilities for Kyra to exploit.

What I find exceptionally intriguing is how the writers have interwoven some exceptional subplots into the main story line.  One subplot which has been unfolding for some time is the escalating romantic tension between Detective Irene Daniels played by actress Gina Ravera and Sargent David Gabriel played brilliantly by actor Corey Reynolds.

Although the secret romance between Daniels and Gabriel was simmering on the back burner before Brenda (Kyra Sedgwick) addressed it, she also got involved with the couple when things went sour as they often do for office romances. At one point Gabriel insisted that Daniels leave the team and she refused.

While an office romance seems harmless to many, when one goes wrong, the tension between the two ex-lovers can make it difficult for all the co-workers.
