Kim Kardashian Has A Shopping Addiction

There's no question Kim Kardashian is a clothes horse.  She is always photographed on The Red Carpet wearing sizzling fashions and is famous for her long, lush, raven black tresses.

In a recent episode of Keeping Up WithThe Kardashians a shopping addiction intervention was held by mom Kris Kardashian as well as sisters Kourtney, Khloe and step-dad Bruce.  Kim's brother was also in attendence.  A hired interventionist showed up to confront Kim about her excessive shopping, which in one show, amounted to close to $20,000 for new clothes and related accessories.

Kim admitted to her family she might have a shopping problem but she took a challenge from her mom and sisters to go shopping with them and not buy anything during the shopping trip.  After watching her mom and sisters shop for an extended period Kim ran out of the store.  She felt she was being unnecessarily being tortured by the other Kardashian females. 

The vixen brunette was caught shortly afterwards by her mom and sister trying on clothes.  She couldn't go cold turkey and stop shopping.

My question as I watched Keeping Up With The Kardashian and Kim's issue with shopping was what she did with all her old clothes when loading up on $20,000 worth of new ones?

Well she donates them to charity...natch.

Kim recently told Complex magazine "I do an eBay auction once every three months, and my whole family gets involved. If we're photographed wearing something, we don't typically like to wear it again, so we do these auctions, and I give the proceeds to the Dream Foundation, which is kind of like Make-A-Wish, but it grants wishes to terminally ill adults."

No surprise that Kim is donating her old clothes to charity.  Regardless of what you think of the Kardashians (I happen to really like Kim and Khloe), they are very much dedicated to doing charitable works as has been demonstrated more than once on Keeping Up With The Kardashains.  Also, Kardashian sister Khloe was recently on the Celebrity Apprentice where as a result of her wins as project manager she donated $40,000 to her preferred charity.

Regardless of what people say about The Kardashians, they use their fame and buzz to help do good works.  Kudos to Kim.
