ART De’Lecour Fashion Show and Art Gallery Exhibit to Benefit Mesquite’s Historic African-American Brickyard Cemetery Preservation Project to be held on Saturday, August 15, at the Westin City Center in Dallas

Experience the True Colors of Fashion from Celebrities, Top Designers and Artists

MESQUITE, TX (July 30, 2009) –  Join Mesquite’s NAACP Chapter and all lovers of art and fashion as top designers showcase their lines at the ART De’Lecour Fashion Show and Art Gallery Exhibit to benefit Mesquite’s Historic African-American Brickyard Cemetery Preservation Project.

This event promises to be a hot ticket, and will feature a special celebrity runway walk featuring radio personalities (including K104’s own Cat Daddy, 97.9 The Beat’s own DJ Magic and Jazze’, the hottest celebrity gossip & entertainment news personality, Gary wit the Tea, Heaven 97’s own Carmina Barnett, several Mesquite city and school officials, State Representative Robert Miklos, and Ms. Plus America Shaurese Linwood among others), and also a runway Walk of Life.

Special Guest Appearances:

Additionally, this event will feature several special guest appearances, including Quentin Coryatt, retired Football Pro for the Colts and Dallas Cowboys, and now CEO of Perfect Jumper, as well as a special guest appearance from “ScienZe,” a recording artist from the Big Apple who will be dropping an album in a few months.  He is also the winner of the hip hop artist challenge. ”ScienZe” was mentored and developed by notable recording artists such as J. Dupree and Common. He is now currently taping his own television series "Commercial Free TV."

Emcees and Commentators include KHVN’s Robert Ashley, Dickie Fears and Stafon Jackson.


Event Details:

Pre-Event Marketplace (outside ballroom, available at 4:00 p.m.):

Several art vendors and other informational booths will be on-site prior to the fashion show.

Fashion Show (in Ballroom); doors open at 5:45 p.m., and show begins at 6:30 p.m.:

Fashion show attendees can enter the ballroom beginning at 5:45 p.m.  General admission seating ($25 per person) available on a first-come, first-served basis.  Special reserved seating for sponsors ($50 per person) and VIPs ($75 per person) available.  Only VIPs receive admission to post-event art exhibit and reception.


Post-Event VIP Reception and Art Exhibit:

Eclectic, New Age Art form of expression, aligned with poetry, physical and visual art, followed by intriguing dance form and appetizing hors d'oeuvres. Celebrities will be present.
