"BIG BROTHER 11" HITS NEW THURSDAY HIGH IN VIEWERS
"Big Brother" Posts Week-to-Week Increases Against Season Finale of "So You Think You Can Dance" CBS.com Logs a Record 11.6 Million Votes to Decide who Gets the "Coup d'État" Power
BIG BROTHER 11 continued its ratings momentum as last night's Thursday live eviction edition hit a season high viewer delivery and posted week-to-week increases in key measures, according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for Aug. 6.

BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY, which saw Ronnie Talbott evicted, was second in households (4.2/08), viewers (6.70m), adults 25-54 (2.7/09), adults 18-49 (2.3/08) and adults 18-34 (1.7/07) - all behind FOX's "So You Think You Can Dance" season finale.
Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER 11 THURSDAY was up +2% in households (from 4.1/08), +4% in adults 25-54 (from 2.6/09), +10% in adults 18-49 (from 2.1/08) and added +240,000 viewers (from 6.46m, +4%). This is BIG BROTHER 11's best Thursday delivery in viewers and ties its best Thursday delivery in adults 18-49.
This week, BIG BROTHER fans cast a record 11.6 million votes online at CBS.com to decide who gets the coup d'etat power to potentially overthrow the current head of household.
Jeff was the one chosen and decided not to use it. The voting, which started Thursday, July 28 and ended Tuesday, August 4, spiked with every mention of "coup d'état" during the Tuesday episode.
