Tyra Banks is known as a super model along with her show "America's Next Top Model" and her own Tyra Banks talk show.
As a result of all the talking along with cameo acting parts such as on "Gossip Girl" to name just one example, and all that modeling, Tyra took the first place spot on Forbes list of Prime-Time's Top Earning Women earning considerably more than her contemporaries. Tyra was estimated to take in $30 million dollars in 2009.

Katherine Heigl took the number two spo with $18 for her work on Grey's Anatomy and film roles.
CSI's reigning crime queen, Marg Helgenberger is third with $9.5 million followed by Desperate Housewife and L'Oreal celebrity spokes person Eva Longoria Parker with $9 million. Mariska Hargitay is fifth with $8.5 million, Julia Louis-Drefus and Maura Tierney (ER) tied for the sixth position with $8 million.
In eight place is Tina Fey with $7 million which is a little surprising since she has all those movie roles in addition to her TV work and writing. Desperate Housewife Marcia Cross is ninth with $6.2 million and Ghost Whisperer Jennifer Love Hewitt is at the bottom of the top ten with $6 million.
If Jennifer Love's earnings seem high, keep in mind she is a producer on her TV show as well as writing books and promoting skin care products.
