I have to start by saying I faithfully watch Melrose Place. I watched the original with Heather Locklear and it was sometimes a little cheesy but that's why they call it entertainment. Right?

Melrose Place was having a hard time finding its spot in the rankings which is a problem for CW who has so many great shows that are big ratings winners like Gossip Girls and 90210. Even though CW had high hopes for the remake of Melrose Place it just didn't come out of the gate as strong as they hoped.
The answer when TV shows are failing is to either cancel them or shake them up. Kudos to the CW for giving Melrose another chance by casting Heather Locklear back for another round of her witchiness.
Hopefully the Bitch Is Back will shake up the ratings and help extend the show. I am really loving Katie Cassidy in her role as Ella Simms the ultimate backstabbing Hollywood hottie who is willing to claw her way to the top.
Although I like Ashlee, she didn't seem right for her part of Violet. So its no surprise that she was written off the show with one of the male co-stars. It appears that Violet my leave the show as part of a major death scene that will transpire at the infamous Los Angeles-based apartment complex.
Besides the show offering hard core entertainment, the hairstyles, clothing and make-up are definitely interesting to watch. I am sorry to see Ashlee go because her hair looks amazing on the show. Of course several of the females have gorgeous hair which is fun to eyeball.
