Jennifer Lopez Is Suing Ex-Husband Ojani Noa For 10 Million In Damages

According to Entertainment Tonight, actress and superstar Jennifer Lopez is putting intense pressure on ex-husband Ojani Noa to stop his plans to release a "satirical" documentary about their short-term marriage which lasted between 1997 and 1998.

To stop Ojani's actions, Ms. Lopez is suing him for approximately $10 million in damages.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Ojani Noa is preparing a documentary by the title of How I Married Jennifer Lopez: The J.Lo and Ojani Noa Story.

A key point in this case is the fact Mr. Noa signed an iron clad legally-binding settlement in which he specifically agreed not to release any information about the former couple's time as husband and wife.

Ms. Lopez's legal team issued a cease-and-desist once they discovered Mr. Noa's plans.  The legal team for Ms. Lopez demanded Mr. Noa immediately discontinue all his plans for the film.

Mr. Noa has responded to the legal missives by laughing off all the threats, insisting his upcoming movie is "100 per cent parody" which he says does not breach the agreement the pair made in 2005.

Ms. Lopez is not happy about the situation and not amused by Mr. Noa's plans.  It has come out that Noa plans to include movie footage from the couple's honeymoon.  News of the honeymoon footage triggered Jennifer's lawsuit claiming Noa had broken the terms of the settlement.

In her suit, Ms. Lopez also named Mr. Ed Meyer who reportedly sent her attorney an email stating that he purchased from Mr. Noa the "exclusive rights" to more than 11 "hours of previously unseen home video footage."

This footage, Ed Meyer allegedly said, showed her in a "revealing lack of clothing and in sexual situations, especially in the hotel room footage from [their] honeymoon."

Not only is Ms. Lopez demanding a permanent ban on Mr. Noa, she is demanding approximately $10 million dollars in damages.
