Brun Hairstyles Are Braids Plus Buns

What's a "brun" hairstyle you might ask?  According to the media it is a combination of a Braid (BR) plus a Bun (UN) which equals a Bun.  The media is famous for coming up with nicknames or combining two celebrities like Brad and Angelina and coming up with Brangelina.

The same is true with various hairstyles and beauty trends.  Basically a Brun can be any hairstyle which incorporates a braid and a bun at the same time.  This could be a front hairline braid which is incorporated into a back bun or even a braid that is wrapped into a bun.

Or you can go with a top knot bun either created from a top braid or a small braid wrapped around the outside.

Mad Men actress January Jones recently made news by appearing with a top knot bun created from a three strand braid.

Many hair dressers in the know believe the braid will continue to be a strong hair style for both the Red Carpets and the fashion catwalks into 2010.  Other believe a variety of buns, twists and chignons will continue to rule.

Why not combine them?  OK?  Why not?

Will the name "brun" catch on?  Maybe or maybe not but keep your eye peeled for this latest hairstyles.  If the gorgeous blonde January Jones was wearing it, you know it will pop up on other celebrity heads in short order.
