There's was a huge media buzz ever since Grammy show producer Ken Erlich announced that Lady Gaga would be performing a duet at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards.

Speculation was building to a fevered pitch about who Gaga would be performing with. The possibilities were endless. Afterall, Lady Gaga is one of the hottest things going right now.
Soon rumors were swirling that Gaga would perform a duet with none other than Elton John. Indeed, the rumors were true.
After Lady Gaga opened the Grammys in her spectacular over-the-top way that only Gaga can do with a full stage set of "The Fame Factory" and an army of dancers. There was a Master Of Ceremonies who announced Gaga and was shouting "The real Gaga comes complete with five #1 singles... and she has no soul."
With that, Gaga burst onto the stage wearing big sparkly shoulder pads. She sang a cabaret version of one of her #1 singles, "Poker Face." Gaga jumped down from what appeared to be a sort of perch (was that a toxic-waste container?) and did a full version of her song. In the process she proceeded to flash "monster" claw and did some crazy moves with her dancers in true Gaga style.
Gaga was eventually dragged off the stage by one of her dancers. She was then dumped into a "rejected" bin, which shot out flames and eventually she sank completely out of view.
After her first number Elton joined Lady Gaga onstage and the duo did a really torchy duet sitting at back to back pianos, complete with ashes, severed limbs and some eye popping jewelry including matching glitter glasses. Both Gaga and Elton were covered in ashes and their faces had ash markings along the foreheads. Lady Gaga had really unusual glittering earrings.
Elton and Gaga sang Lady Gaga's "Speechless," and were alternating verses and looks across the piano. There were severed mannequin arms and a flashing monster sign.
Elton sang a few verses of "Your Song," his huge 1970s hit. Then Elton and Lady Gaga slide back into "Speechless" and wrapped up their performance with huge smiles. The audience went crazy and gave the musical duo a standing ovation.
