If Jason Bateman's past appearance on Ellen Degeneres is any indication of his true personality, it's not surprising that he recently apologized for cutting to the head of a massive line at the LA Apple store last week.
Not only is he funny, but he's got a great head of hair (yeah, I always notice the hair thing) and he seems like a great dad to his young daughter.

The popular film and TV star was milling around with the masses in order to pick up his new Apple iPhone 4.
Even though he played the celebrity card and was ushered to the head of the line by security, as reported by Joyce Eng at seattlepi.com. The Hollywood Reporter noted that Bateman bypassed over 2,000 people who had all been queuing there for hours to get their hands on the hot new phone.
Apparently feeling guilt for his actions, Jason did what any good celeb would do and Tweeted out his reasons for his behavior.
He said the only reason he jumped the line was to avoid paparazzi, which of course is a very good excuse. I've only had marginal experiences with swarming media in LA and I don't blame anyone who might act inappropriately to avoid him.
Although Jason said no one in line actually booed him as he jumped past, he still wanted to apologize for his actions. He specifically said he did not mean to offend anyone.

"Correction - If there were boos, I didn't hear them. If some were mad, I didn't seem them. I wish I had. If you're out there, I'm sorry," he tweeted.
Awwww, what a nice guy. Right?
Of course it's annoying when someone jumps in front of you when you've been patiently waiting, even with a good excuse, but at least he had the class and manners to apologize. Good for Jason.
