When Ashlan asked why she decided to start her fashion blog Sophie Mae said "well I started SophieMaeStyle.com because I'm a personal shopper and a wardrobe stylist and I wanted to create a very special website for both my clients and my followers so that I could show them the latest fashion trends and how to wear those trends in there daily lives."
Sophie Mae described her look which was designed to be worn to a post Oscar's Party. Her golden above-the-knee gown was described by Sophie Mae as "definitely a statement, fashion forward, a little Old Hollywood which I felt was appropriate for this evening obviously. The details really make the dress. I love the bow detail on the shoulder, ruching on the hip, and the draping in the back makes the dress."
When asked how she came up with the look she said "well I wanted to look a little more vintage, and I'm kinda feeling a little bit Michele Williams with the red lips and the yellow dress." A clip of her was shown shopping and picking different dresses for her look.
She said "there I am shopping. I had a couple of different options which I chose from and ultimately I went with this one (the one she was wearing) because its the most fun. And it's the best color."
A clip was also show of Sophie Mae in her actual blog posting in the dress. Sophie Mae said "I feel like a female Oscar."
