INDULGE IN A BEAUTY BLAST THIS WEEKEND IN IRVING, TEXAS AT VISIONS: THE WOMEN’S EXPO

Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas welcomes attendees and exhibitors to the 22nd annual expo

IRVING, Texas (April 7, 2011) – Attention ladies, join us for VISIONS: The Women’s Expo on April 8-10 at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas for a full weekend line-up of self-improvement seminars, cooking demonstrations, shopping, dancing and more for women of all ages.

Boasting the longest running event in the southwest for women, the 22nd annual VISIONS: The Women’s Expo, kicks off on Friday, April 8, with the VISIONS style show, cooking tips, and the “Margaritas, Manicures and Salsa Ball.”

Throughout the women’s weekend, best wellness practices seminars will be offered from national speakers, Judy Belmont and Lora Shor, offering simple solutions to time management, health and beauty, easy meal ideas, and beyond.

VISIONS Style Show Presented by Dillards and Soma Intimates

The VISIONS style show, presented by Dillard’s and Soma Intimates, brings style tips and trends from sleepwear and swimwear, to sportswear and day wear. VISIONS style show delivers style tip takeaways for everyone, no matter what age, style or budget, and offers attendees the chance to win a complete spring outfit from Dillard’s.

Style show times are Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 4 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

Exclusive opportunities for the expo include cooking ideas and demonstrations from Illya Roberts, chef and author of “Twelve Months of New Orleans Cooking,” Scott Jones from Cowtown Diner and John Franke from Irving’s The Ranch at Las Colinas.

Dallas’ “Power House of Dance” will show attendees how to step up their dance skills throughout the weekend offering dance makeovers – highlighting five easy moves to improve dance skills, followed by dance performances from some of Dallas’ best dancers.

Dallas author, and radio and TV personality, Victoria Snee, will present her new book, “The Beauty Buzz,” featuring celebrity beauty secrets and tips on Saturday at 2 p.m. The first 30 attendees in line for the seminar receive a free copy of “The Beauty Buzz.”

Whatta Man Auction

At 6 p.m., ladies will have the opportunity to bid on a date at the “Whatta Man” auction, with all proceeds benefiting Operation Kindness, a no-kill shelter for animals. The auction offers fun for all ladies – whether single or married.

All eligible bachelors have something for everyone from personal training and home-cooked meals to Spanish, art or dance lessons.

Expo hours are 2 – 8 p.m. on Friday, April 8; 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 9; and 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10. General admission is $10 per day, children 10 and under are free, and free childcare is available during event operation. On Friday from 2 – 8 p.m. admission is half-price and admission is free on Sunday from 12 – 2 p.m.
