Is Michaele Salahi, the former Real Housewife of DC, missing? That's what the most recent headlines were screaming as a result of her husband Tareq's frantic calls to authorities.
But wait, no, she's not really missing. She's on a Journey with the famous rock band's lead guitarist, Neal Schon, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Michaele Salahi, whose husband, Tareq, began yesterday claiming his reality TV wife had been kidnapped, was said to actually be in the arms of Journey's Schon.
TMZ broke the story that Tareq called authorities several times claiming his wife has been abducted, because she left without taking her belongings.
To The Hairdresser
Tareq told police Michaele claimed she was going to the hairdresser and to her mom’s, but never showed up at either place. When his wife didn't go to her hairdresser or her mother's Tareq assumed the worst. He thought she had been abducted.
Michaele Salahi is “fine,” officials said just hours after her husband launched the teary public appeal for help, replete with Facebook and Twitter posts claiming his wife had been abducted from their Virginia home.
She left with Schon on her own volition. TMZ reported the platinum blonde reality star has been dating Schon for awhile and says that Michaele describes the relationship with Schon as "passionate and intimate."
The Husband Is Always The Last To Know
“Mrs. Salahi [said] she did not want Mr. Salahi to know where she was,’’ Warren County, Va., police said in a statement. “She seemed calm, was engaged in conversation and assured the deputy that she had left the residence with a good friend and was where she wanted to be,” the police in Virginia said. “She advised she did not want to be home right now.”
One big unanswered question is whether Mr. Salahi knew about Michaele's relationship with Schon. Why did she tell him she was going to the hairdresser's and her mother's if she was going to Tennessee with the guitarist?
Bottle Blonde Hair
With this latest attention getting incident, the only thing we absolutely know that's real about Michaele Salahi is that she wears her hair, whether it's all her hair or not, in platinum blonde shades.
Since so much about Michaele Salahi (née Michelle Ann "Missy" Holt) appears to be smoke and mirrors it's hard to believe that her long white blonde tresses are really hers. In fact, many media outlets refer to her a "bottle blonde."
The reference to her white blonde hair appears derogatory, but in keeping with the disdain some media outlets have come to view the former reality TV star and her antics to get attention.
But in all fairness to the media, the self-proclaimed model and socialite is more famous for crashing The White House and David Letterman's TV talk show than anything else.
Famous For Being On Cancelled Bravo Housewives Franchise
In fact, she and her husband Tareq have attempted to crash a series of other high profile events over the past few years.
If anything, she's most famous for trying to being famous as well as for being on the only season of Bravo's Real Housewives that was cancelled due to audience lack of interest.
Michaele who was born Michelle (October 1, 1965) is a self-proclaimed model and socialite from Oakton, Virginia, who also claims to be a very active member of the Washington, D.C. social scene.
The blonde who has been accused in the past by her fellow Bravo Housewives of being anorexic has explained her fame by saying "People have a hard time saying no to me, and that's just been my blessing."
More About Michaele And Tareq
Michaele and Tareq are founders of America's Polo Cup, which had become one of the largest and most high profile polo events in the U.S. They have also been the alleged owners and residents of the Oasis Winery near Hume, Virginia.
Both the Oasis Winery and America's Polo Cup, Inc. filed for Chapter 7 protection in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in February 2009 and September 2010, respectively.
In 2009, the former reality TV star claimed to be a former Washington Redskins cheerleader. The Washington Post reported that this was untrue.
The Salahis first made headlines in November 2009 when they sneaked into President Obama’s first official state dinner and then stretched that stunt into roles on Bravo’s “Real Housewives of D.C.”
