According to The Hollywood Reporter, several hot new films are scheduled to be released between 2011 and 2013 which feature Australian stars.

Actress Toni Collette, who co-stars in the newly released "Fright Night" as Charley Brewster's mom, is one of the Australian actresses reportedly working on one of the not new films.

Mental

Collette's film is titled "Mental" which is a co-production of L.A.-based Zucker Productions and Australia's Story Bridge Films.  The film is a reuniting of director P.J. Hogan with the award winning actress some 17 years after their breakout comedy Muriel's Wedding.

The film is described as a comedic tribute to The Sound of Music.  Collette ("Little Miss Sunshine") stars as Shaz, a nanny Hogan describes as "hilarious, outrageous, dangerous, courageous, inspiring, heartbreaking and totally, totally mad."  The film is scheduled to be released in 2012.

United States Of Tara

Collette most recently played Tara in Showtime's "United States of Tara" which was a comedy-drama TV series created by Diablo Cody.

The series ran from 2009 until June 0f 2011 when it was not renewed.  The series followed the life of Tara (Toni Collette), a suburban housewife and mother coping with dissociative identity disorder.

Hanging Out With Her Happy Family

Collette won the 2009 Primetime Emmy Award and 2010 Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her role; the opening title sequence also won an Emmy.

The show's third season premiered on March 28, 2011.

Collette was spotted recently in Los Angeles at a local fair with her family, which included six month old Baby Arlo Robert and 3-year-old daughter Sage.  Her husband, Dave Galafassi was also present.

Model Phoebe Roberts

Ironically Collette was linked with Model Phoebe Roberts who played her stunt double on the new Mental filmed.  Roberts was part of an alleged connection to actor Liev Schreiber which she and the actor both deny.

A Bright Future

The actress is always in demand for her ability to take on a wide range of characters and controversial parts.  Even though fans of United States of Tara will miss her fascinating performance as a woman with multiple personalities there's no doubt she will reappear in a myriad of fascinating films in the future.
