Ashton Kutcher's Loose Lips Sink His 8 Million Strong Twitter Feed
No matter how adorable Ashton Kutcher may be as Walden Schmidt on Two And A Half Men, he learned that his loose lips can sink his twitter ship....or at least make a lot of his fans pretty mad if his tweets are politically incorrect.
As a result of tweeting out of turn about coach Joe Paterno the first celebrity on Twitter to break 1 million followers, back in the day, has now announced he is no longer responsible for his own Twitter page. He is turned the management over to someone else who will be more aware of current trends before tweeting out something politically incorrect.
Ashton basically said "Up until today I have posted virtually everyone of my tweets on my own, but clearly the platform has become to big to be managed by a single individual. While I will continue to express myself through @Aplusk I'm going to turn the management of the feed over to my team at Katalyst Media to ensure the quality of it's content."
Ashton's Comments About His Twitter Feed
Ashton also noted that when he first started tweeting it was "a communication platform (where) people could say what they are thinking in real time and if their facts were wrong the community would quickly and helpfully reframe an opinion."
Ashton also said "It (Twitter) was a conversation, a community driven education tool and opinion center that encourage healthy debate. It seems that today that twitter has grown into a mass publishing platform, where ones tweets quickly become news that is broadcasted around the world and misinformation becomes volatile fodder for critics."
Ashton also explained that without understanding what was really happening with Joe Paterno he noticed as he walked by the TV that he had been fired and he made some bad assumptions about why Paterno was fired. After receiving the full story from ESPN he realized that he had put his foot in his mouth and quickly retracted and deleted his original Paterno tweet.
Ashton also apologized for offending anyone and noted that's why he was turning his Twitter feed management over to people to make sure he didn't repeat the mistake in the future.
This is probably good timing for Ashton. Rumors continue to circulate that his marriage to Demi Moore is in tatters and there are other issues that Ashton may not want to tweet about without some assistance from his management team. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
