Sexy, loose Spring waves with lots of body, volume and shine are perfect for breezy weather. Celebrities like the gorgeous Emmy Rossum of Shameless are often seen wearing the sensual wavy look.

The good news?  You don't need a professional stylist to get these gorgeous loose waves.   This gorgeous texture is Do-It-Yourself (DIY) on hair which is chin length or longer.

The only tools you need to create sexy loose Spring waves at home is a hair care product which provides thermal protection, a great flat iron and shine serum.

How To Create Sexy Loose Spring Waves

Check out the simple hairstyling steps below to create sexy loose Spring waves:

Step One:  Before styling hair, spritz a powerful thermal protection product like Davines {{asin=B00308CCSM,text=MELU Thermal Protecting Shield}} or similar onto 100% dry hair. A good thermal protection product will prevent the damaging effects of high-heat styling.

Hair professionals strongly advise the use of heat protecting products because they protect hair from heat of styling tools as well as adding a sleeker, shinier look.

A great flat iron is key to creating a more natural looking wave.  The right iron won't leave a crimp or wrinkles in the hair the way a traditional flat iron with a tight clamp will do.

Either select a flat iron without a clamp or select one which delivers salon-like results while eliminating the appearance of unwanted static and frizz.  Flat irons utilizing tourmaline technology are ideal.

Step Two:  Begin by parting hair into equal sized sections  Work layer by layer.   Take a one inch section of hair.  Position the flat iron midway up each section.  Twist your wrist inwards towards your head.

Quickly slide the flat iron down the entire section of hair in the same manner as if you are straightening it.

Maintain this position while twisting inwards once again at the ends to make sure they are not left straight.   Work quickly to ensure that curls are loose and wavy.

The longer you spend sliding the iron over the hair,  the tighter the curls will become. Continue on until all sections of your hair have been curled.

Note:  If you want to guarantee long lasting texture, after you finish ironing each section, roll the newly formed curl with your fingers and secure against your scalp with a clip or pins.  Allow the reformed curl to set in place.  This will guarantee a tighter texture.

Step Three:  Once the hair style is complete, add high shine and an extra barrier against frizz with a great {{asin=B001JK4P2E,text=anti-frizz finishing formula}} like Philip B's Anti-Frizz formula.

Whether you use drops or a spray formula, look for products which contain ingredients like Lavender, Jojoba, Rice Bran and Soybean Oils which can give hair a perfect dose of conditioning moisture without being heavy, sticky or oily.

Remember to apply only a small amount of anti-frizz products.

If you prefer a spray, apply a spritz or two to the palms of your hands, massage them together and then lightly brush over the top of your hair.

When using drops, remember than one drop, massaged into the palms of your hands is all you need for a gorgeous frizz-free sexy finish.

To glam up your waves slide on a pop of color with a {{asin=B003DL4IEM,text=gorgeous headband}} or add a sleek barrette or clip along the hairline.
