Multi-talented, award winning singer and performer Janelle Monáe (born December 1, 1985),  was picture perfect at The Costume Institute Benefit Gala on May 5, 2015.

She was rocking a stunning sassy summer braid hairstyle.

Shortly after she showcased her long braid at The Costume Institute Benefit Gala, she made a guest appearance on Fox/TV's American Idol.

Janelle was spectacular at the XIV Grand Finale on May 13, 2015 where she again showcased her amazing braid.

Janelle's breathtakingly beautiful long Costume Institute Benefit Gala and AI braid was immediately dubbed the WondaBraid.

Why?  Due to the fact she's signed with Bad Boy Records, Wondaland Art Society and Atlantic Records.

During the same time Janelle killed it on the AI finale, she appeared on a  ridiculously hot new video for “Yoga,” featuring Jidenna.

Stunning below the waist hair extensions were combined with Janelle's signature Mohawk top.

Prepping The Hair Extensions Before Braiding

The extensions, lightly prepped with styling elixir, started out with three sections which were eventually merged  into a type of two strand French braid.
