Back in 2009 Globe Magazine reported a story about the infamous Jane Fonda hair bag custom designed and created by the famous actress herself.

In 2009, Jane was 71 and notably liked to stir things up.  The Jane Fonda hair bag was a cute clutch bag embellished with images of Jane's mug shot from 1970.

A Mug Shot Transformed Into A Handbag

During that time Jane served time in jail for allegedly kicking a police officer.  Her famous mug shot showcased her iconic brunette shag hairstyle which was showcased in the movie Klute.

Jane took that mug shot which had her famous hair cut and had it duplicated so that the clutch was completely covered with photos of Jane.

Back in 2009 the idea might have seemed quirky, but in reality it's a cool idea and easy to copy for a quick DIY project.

Co-starring with actress Lily Tomlin, the  award winning stars played two women whose husbands have left them for each other.

As always, Jane's hair looked lovely and much younger than her chronological age might lead you to believe.

Although Jane is famous for her iconic shag, she's been enhancing it lately by wearing wigs or utilizing carefully placed extensions to provide a more youthful, volume infused hairstyle.

The actress wears her hair nearly the same length all over her head.  For her role on Grace and Frankie the front of her hair is heavily layered to fall in a soft veil across her forehead.

The sides are slightly brushed back adding youthful softness.

Jane's layered hairstyle manages to fall at precisely the correct length to avoid being a mullet while adding framing around her neck.
