The lovely brunette haired actress, Rhona Natasha Mitra, plays Dr. Rachel Scott.  She is the Last Ship's doctor hair to watch on the popular TNT Summer series.

Rhona Mitra, was  born August 9, 1976 in Paddington, London, England in the UK.  Although she has primarily favored brunette hues for her long and successful acting career, the shades have varied significantly.

As Dr. Rachel Scott, her hair is styled long with natural wavy texture.

Her brunette hues range, according to the lightening, from a shine infused deep brunette to a cool dark brunette.

At times on the series her hair looks wild and unstructured, much like her current mission to try and save the world.

Light & Dark Chocolate Highlights & Lowlights

Depending upon how the light plays across Dr. Scott's hair, an array of lighter and darker chocolate highlights and low lights are apparent.

The light and dark chocolate and caramel hues flow as ribbons of color flowing across the sides and over the crown.

Keeping in mind that the character of Dr. Rachel Scott has been spending all of her time on a ship trying to find a cure for a killer virus, you wouldn't expect her hair to be perfectly styled.

Rhona's hair, as Dr. Scott, is coiffed in an array of casual hairstyles which are very believable for a doctor with little or no access to hairstylists or sophisticated hair products.

Her long naturally wavy hair is most often worn down.

Sometimes it's pulled off her face into a half up/half down style.  Other times she wears it in a low nape-neck pony.

The advantage of her long hair on the show?  It's amazing versatility.

The Storyline For The Last Ship

Based on the novel of the same name, the series is about a pandemic that quickly kills 80% of the Earth’s population.

Dr. Rachel Scott, is a brilliant paleomicrobiologist who was on a remote mission onboard a Navy ship when the outbreak began.

Returning home to discover the horrific situation, the crew – led by

Commander Tom Chandler (Eric Dane) and Mike Slattery (Adam Baldwin) – must try to find a cure, with Dr. Scott playing a key role in the potential future of mankind.

Summary - The Last Ship's Doctor Hair

The Last Ship has recently been renewed for a third season, taking the show into 2016.

This renewal of the TNT show is great news for the series fans.  It's also wonderful for Rhona Mitra who plays the rogue Dr. Rachel Scott.

Her hair is the Last Ship's Doctor Hair to watch and be mesmerized by.

If the first two seasons are anything like the future, we can expect her wide sassy mane of brunette tresses to thrill us almost as the stunning story lines.
