One of the great things about Christian Serratos' Dead Hair is how fabulous it always looks both on and off screen.
Whether the beautiful actress is walking the Red Carpet to promote her role as Rosita Espinosa on The Walking Dead, or working on-screen as a medical aid in the Alexandria Safe-Zone her strands are must-see.
The raven haired Christian (September 21, 1990) first became a fan favorite when she appeared in 2008 as Angela Weber on Twilight. Even though her role as Bella Swan's friend was small, she appeared in all of the Twilight films spanning 2008 until 2012.
When Christian played Angela her hair was also perfectly coiffed for the role as a cool high school friend. In Twilight, her hair was a light chocolate with hints of red highlights.
For Walking Dead her strands are more sophisticated, even though she's in the perpetual survival zone.
Christian first appeared in The Walking Dead in Season 4 with her gorgeous, thick, raven black hair adding even more allure to her role as Rosita.
Somehow even while escaping the false safe haven Terminus and journeying to Washington D.C., she managed to avoid death.
The spunky Rosita is still alive and well after Season 5 with all of her hair intact.
Luckily for all her fans, the lovely Christian will reprise Rosita in upcoming seasons of The Walking Dead.
Born in Pasadena, California, Christian can credit part of his dark chocolate tresses and beautiful skin and eyes from her Mexican and Italian heritage on her mother's side of the family.
She also has Italian and Irish influences on her father's side of the family.
At age 3 she began training as a figure skater with her coaches talking about the Olympics. Eventually she traded in her ice skates for modeling, dancing and singing.
She also traded in her Olympics goals by signing with the famous Ford Modeling Agency at the tender age of 7.
The actress has appeared in a series of dark scary parts ranging from Twilight and American Horror Story to The Walking Dead.
In an interview with AMC in 2014 she explained why she's had to many scary acting parts.
She told AMC dark and frightening shows "seem to be drawn to her, rather than the reverse". The beautiful Latin actress admits she liked "the realness of the acting" required from things like The Walking Dead.
Christian noted that The Walking Dead is "not just a show about zombies." She explained "it really has to do with people, their will to survive and what's going through their heads."
She told AMC "that kind acting is a lot more personal to me. I think I’m funny, but it’s just a different thing being good at comedy, and I just happen to be good at this."
Christian admitted she did "research on the show and the character and (the history of the comic books), but didn't realize she should have "probably been preparing a little bit more physically, but I wasn't."
As a result of her lack of fitness for the role she got "thrown into the workouts during filming." She noted "being thin is really deceiving. I managed to be thin with absolutely no muscle whatsoever!"
The beautiful actress told AMC she has a lot of similarities to her on-screen Dead character.
Christian noted "I’m similar to her in the way that she is very headstrong, which in my case is a nice way of saying stubborn. But she’s very brave. She’s the type of gal who knows what she wants and what she’s doing, but I think she’s a lot more brave than I am."
She said she believes that Rosita would be her "best friend" saying "she's a lot like one of my best friends at home who I've known for ten years."
The actress believes she strongly resembles the comic book character she portrays.
Christian said "I think I do look like her! It’s cool for me because being a part of Twilight, everybody wanted to see what you looked like and they had their opinion of what you looked like in the book. This time around, it’s not up to your imagination. It’s drawn right there."
She also said about Rosita "she’s a really tough gal, and I think it’d be really hard to not keep her that way. I have a knife, and I have of course my Rosita holsters that you see in the comic book. With two guns and a knife, I’m fully equipped."
Christian Serratos knocks it out of the park in her role as Rosita Espinosa on The Walking Dead. Her hair, even when covered in blood, looks appropriately coiffed for her role.
