It's a serious hair issue to consider. Do you have frump-factor hair?
Liz Lemon of NBC's 30 Rock had bona fide frump-factor hair.
Ironically, Tina Fey has naturally good hair according to hairstylist Ann Minahan in the April 2010 issue of TV Guide.
The brunette superstar who's just launched NBC’s “Great News,”understood the importance of being believable as the super stressed Ms. Lemon.
Tina had to suffer for her art to properly portray the aggressively unkempt entertainment executive on the small screen.
Ms. Minahan, owner of NYC's Riah Salon, told TV Guide "forcing locks to look like that (Lemon's messy frump-factor hair) is no small feat."
In fact "it's as labor-intensive to get that (messy mane) result as it is to do good hair!"
Why did 30 Rock portray Liz Lemon as the Queen Of Frump-Factor Hair?
Because Tina had to look realistic as workaholic low maintenance Liz Lemon, Ms. Minahan had to make sure her hair appeared frumpy and dumpy.
Ms. Minahan confirmed Liz Lemon characters were alive and well off screen. She often had frazzled female entertainment executives slumped over in her chair fighting messy manes.
High pressure jobs can leave little time for visits to the salon to create picture perfect strands.
