The Doctor's Book On Hair Loss by T. Gerard Aldhizer M.D., Thomas M. Krop M.D. and Joseph Dunn This very intimate look at hair loss was published in 1983 by Dr. Aldhizer who
has suffered through his own personal story of hair loss. It is very touching the
way that he talks about his visits to the local hair salon and his frustration and
embarrassment as his own hair became thinner and thinner. Determined to get to the absolute truth about hair loss and to spare others his
own less than successful experiences, he works hard to expose all the facts about hair
loss. In his quest to expose the trust Aldhizer addresses the myths of hair massage to stimulate hair growth, the damage of bad nutrition and crash dieting (I know that story myself) and the good, the bad and the ugly trusts about hair implants.
This is a great book. Aldhizer shows his own personal hair vulnerabilities
which makes you instantly trust the reasons why he chose to write this book. He
shares his own personal journey through sutures, tunnel grafts, hair weaves and
other attempts to deal with his hair loss. He finally settled on a well made hair
piece and seemed to find a lot of solace from his final solution. Along the way to his final hairpiece, Dr. Adlhizer attempts to help any reader
understand what causes hair loss, what the options are, what frauds to avoid and how to
proceed with finding a good solution that is right for you. This is a book with truth and facts and a lot of human feeling. I loved
this book and wish that it were still in print. Amazon.com will do their best to
find this paperback book for you. I was just lucky to stumble across it at Powell's
on my recent Portland jaunt. If you can find this book and you have concerns with hair loss I recommend that
you snap this book up. My thanks to Dr. Aldhizer for writing such a wonderful, entertaining and informative book.
