(New York, NY, September 26, 2007) - L'Oréal Professionnel and Artistic Partner Recine, once again joined with Zac Posen to present the designer's Spring 2008 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week on September 11th.
To complement a collection inspired by "Days of Heaven, the Shakers, wheat fields of the Great Plains and the romance of
Recine created a sophisticated and classic hair silhouette, set in a modern bun, that was "electrified" by crimping of the hair and a glass finish achieved through the award winning hairspray L'Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert infinium.

The audience, that included some entertainment's finest and Posen's admirers such as Demi Moore, Lucy Liu, Sean "Diddy" Combs, Bette Midler and Martha Stewart, was treated to a collection that paid tribute to the great Americana and hair that embodied simplistic and classic days of summer.
Creating Modern Bun
To achieve the modern bun worn on the runway, each model's dry hair was first parted and prepped by saturating the head with Texture Expert infinium 2 or 3, the revolutionary, workable hairspray.
Next using a crimping iron, the entire head was crimped from root to tip to give both design and texture to the hair - the idea was not to create "fuzzy" lines but strong ridges of structure on the head.
Hair was then gathered together at the nape of the neck, the "tail" then picked-up, and designed into a modern, low-set bun that was literally sewn to the base of the head with thick thread, rather than the conventional use of bobby pins.
Katherine Heigl just recently accepted the Emmy for her performance in Grey's Anatomy wearing a gorgeous white Zac Posen gown, and pieces from Posen's Spring 2008 Collection will certainly be front-and-center on many more red carpets to come!
The combined elegance of Posen's designs and L'Oréal Professionnel's ability to create endless hairstyling possibilities is a true dream-match for the worlds of fashion and beauty! L'Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert is will be available at premiere salons nationwide this October.
