Not Your Daughter's Jeans Fights Breast Cancer

Not Your Daughter's Jeans Fights Breast Cancer

Feeling guilty about shopping?  In October, a little retail therapy can help save the lives of millions of women.  Not Your Daughter's Jeans is pairing up with retail giant Nordstrom's to help the fight against breast cancer, the most common cancer among women in the United States and the second leading cause of cancer deaths in women.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Not Your Daughter's Jeans will donate $1 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists, each time a woman tries on a pair of Tummy Tuck Jeans at any Nordstrom nationwide during the entire month of October.

"Not Your Daughter's Jeans was created to empower all women to look and feel their best.  We believe real beauty comes in many shapes, sizes and ages.  As a result, Not Your Daughter's Jeans decided to partner up with Susan G. Komen for the Cure to help fight against a disease that affects all women, " said Lisa Rudes-Sandel, President and Founder of Not Your Daughter's Jeans.

"Since 2003, our brand has been committed to encouraging women to feel beautiful and look their best.  The fight against breast cancer is a global movement and Not Your Daughter's Jeans is proud to join Susan G. Komen for the Cure's promise to end breast cancer forever."

Fashion Designs a Cure for Breast Cancer

All of the evening's proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Tickets are on sale for $100 and $150 for VIP and can be purchased at www.komenlacounty.org or by calling 626-577-2700.

About Susan G. Komen for the Cure

Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and launched the global breast cancer movement. Today, Komen for the Cure is the world's largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists fighting to save lives, empower people, ensure quality care for all and energize science to find the cures.

Thanks to events like the Komen Race for the Cure, we have invested nearly $1 billion to fulfill our promise, becoming the largest source of nonprofit funds dedicated to the fight against breast cancer in the world.
