Salma Hayek's Hair At Golden Globes

Celebrity hairdresser Robert Vetica created a stunningly glamorous hairstyle for superstar Salma Hayek at the recent 2009 Golden Globes.

The Details On Salma Hayek's Hairstyle

Salma Hayek's Sleek and Sexy Hairstyle.  To create Salma's sexy and slicked-back hairstyle Robert Vetica started with wet hair.  Robert reported he "worked Moroccan Oil™ Treatment" through Salma's hair to detangle and smooth out split ends.

He then dried the hair straight using Moroccan Oil Hydrating Styling Cream to give added shine and smoothness.

Salma Hayek wore a stunning Boucheron $250,000 diamond hair wrap which was specially designed and made for her.  The key was to keep Salma's hair looking sleek and polished but out of the way of her gorgeous gown.

How To Get The Look

Celebrity Hairdresser Vetica pulled the hair back into two ponytails, the first one was created from ear to crown to opposite ear and pulled it back low at the nape of the neck.

He pulled the remaining hair into a second ponytail, directly on top of the first, back-combing it to give extra lift and to add texture.

Next, Robert braided each pony section, turned them under and attached them at the nape of the neck.  The double braid gave the effect of a unique textured thickness that made the hairstyle look fresh and new.

Then, Robert wrapped the glittering diamond band around the double braid for a simple but chic effect.

Products used for Salma Hayek's look:
