David Duchovny At 2009 SAG Awards Says XFiles Was Harder

Actor David Duchovny attended the 2009 SAG Awards solo.  He was interviewed on the Red Carpet by E! and was asked which was more strenuous and difficult - filming XFiles or doing his current show - Californication.  David said X Files was by far the more difficult of the two shows.

David explained that X Files involved very long hours - 16 to 18 over the course of 8 straight days in a row for a period of nine years. He said the acting on X Files definitely required a lot more stamina then his current Californiation show which is on cable.

E! also asked him about his son and what he said about his son being very unhappy that he had not won at The Golden Globe awards.

When asked about his family and what they were doing, David said that they were all probably going to bed and would watch the show tomorrow because it was being taped.  E! reminded him that his interview on the Red Carpet was live and hopefully he was taping that as well as the show.

David gave a message to his family and said "I love you, now all of you go to bed".  His wife Tea Leoni was not present at the 2009 SAG Awards with him.

Nominated for a SAG for the category of Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, David was up against Steve Carell for "The Office", Jeremy Piven on "Entourage", Tony Shalhoub in "Monk" and Alec Baldwin in "30 Rock".  Sadly David did not win for Californication.  The Actor went to Alec Baldwin of 30 Rock.

Professional hairstylists often use a "rat" to create a full French twist or updo. A rat is a special form used to wrap hair around.
