After DeAnna Pappas was dumped by Bachelor Brad Womack in the Final Rose Ceremony, Ellen had DeAnna on the show and actively campaigned for her to become the next Bachelorette.
Ellen also pushed for Jason Melnick to get the next Bachelor spot, which he currently hold. Recently she had finalist Jillian on the show and asked her if she would consider being the next Bachelorette to which Jill responded she would give it a shot.
Recently I heard DeAnna Pappas' ex-fiance Jesse Csincsak was campaigning to be the next Bachelor after Jason Melnick. Of course Jesse has some new complications.
It has been reported that Jesse is now happily involved with The Bachelor: London Calling alum Holly Durst. So how does that mesh with him wanting to be the next Bachelor?
In a recent Extra interview about why DeAnna broke her engagement to Jess she made the comment "Jesse and Holly met while we (DeAnna and Jesse) were seeing each other."
Hmmmm. Is there some hidden drama there which DeAnna is hinting at? Or was Jesse and Holly a completely innocent connection made from former Bachelor and Bachelorette alums hanging out together, which it has been reported happens?

DeAnna told Extra she called off her engagement to Jesse because, "it came down to two totally different people. I believe we all make mistakes in life and we learn from them. Jason, who has it all together, has everything a woman would want. And then there's Jesse, who kind of was like a wild card...And for me, I felt like the wild card was going to work out. Someone to keep me on my toes. But eventually it wasn't what I was attracted to anymore."
It's hard to know whether to take DeAnna's comments about Jesse at face value or to try and read between the lines. It's also interesting about Jesse's quest to be the next Bachelor. Is that still a goal of his or has he shelved that idea?
Finally, how does ABC select the future Bachelor and Bachelorettes? Trista became the first bachelorette when she was the last girl to be eliminated on the first episode of The Bachelor. Bachelor Bob actually got cut long before the Final Rose Ceremony but the guy Trista chose over Ryan, whom she married, did not become a Bachelor.
However Jennifer Schefft who actually became engaged to Andrew Firestone on The Bachelor wound up becoming a Bachelorette after her relationship with Andrew ended. Therefore ABC has established the possibility of one of the winners coming back as The Bachelor or Bachelorette. Does that mean Jesse Csincsak has a shot?
Another rumor at one point in The Fall of 2008 was that Jeremy would be the next Bachelor. That never happened and Jason became The Bachelor instead.
