Renowned hairstylist and salon owner Philip Pelusi who has been a hair guru for many years was recently interviewed on CNN.com in an article in the Living Section about Cheap Is The New Chic.
Philip was quoted as saying "has seen the focus shift to more bang for the buck during the economic downturn."

"We are doing everything we can to accommodate the clients," said Pelusi, whose Tela Design Studio in Manhattan has only seen a slight decrease in business.
Tela Design Studio was recently named by The New York Observer as The Top Ten Spots For A Spot of Tea in New York. The Arium Cafe which is owned by Philip and is adjacent to his Tela Design Studio was picked by The New York Observer because of the availability of over 100 loose leaf teas combined with a gorgeous setting and friendly staff who "trot out tea leaf samples" for customers to try before they order.
The New York Observer gave Philip the nod because he has so successfully paired tea with beauty offering Tela Design Studio on one side and The Arium Cafe right next door.
