Lindsay Lohan Shocked By Sam Ronson Restraining Order

Lindsay Lohan was a feature guest on The Ellen Degeneres show recently.  Lindsay has been in the media because of a very public break-up with her long time lover, Samantha Ronson, a celebrity DJ.  During the break-up period there was talk that the Ronson family had taken out a restraining order to keep Lindsay from Sam.  Ellen wanted to get to the bottom of all the rumors.

Ellen introduced Lindsay on her show by talking about what a talented actress she is and how she is plagued by tabloid rumors.

Lindsay appeared on the show wearing very long below-the-waist red tresses (probably extensions) and a floaty flowered dress.  She looked incredibly thin but definitely pretty.

Ellen said the last time she had seen Lindsay was at the birthday party she and her wife Portia threw at there house a few months back.  Ellen said that Sam (Ronson) actually was the DJ at the party and Lindsay had been there with Sam.  Ellen said she did't pay much attention to what was going on.  Lindsay said "I don't either, I try not to."

Ellen said "just let me tell you, there's a lot going on with you.  If you haven't been paying attention."  Lindsay said there may be a lot going on (about her) but "its not true."  Ellen said "but its not true. Which is why I'm glad because you really,  people can read...you're on the cover of Us Magazine right now....and people can read whatever."

Lindsay said "I'm so alone." Ellen said "tell me what you want to tell me." Lindsay said "Oh whatever, I'm an honest person I have no trouble telling people what's real and what's now.

Did Lindsay Have An Interview With Us Magazine?

Ellen wanted to know if Lindsay had talked to Us Magazine.  Lindsay said "I think the Internet phenomena and the tabloid phenomena, I think it's gotten completely blown out of proportion.  Even if I'm staying home, they'll find some sort of story to write about me. I mean there's been horror stories about me...I've been married twice, but that whole night was just, it was really tough and I just, you know, and it came out of nowhere.  Samantha and I are friends, we're talking.  We talk."

Lindsay and Sam Ronson Are Still Friends

Ellen asked "you are friends?"  Lindsay said "yeah"  Ellen said "because I think break-ups are hard when you're private person...."  Lindsay said "or when you don't know you're breaking up.  It was really weird."  Ellen said "didn't not know you were breaking up?"  Lindsay said "I had no idea what was going on, I hadn't seen her in a week, she had disappeared."  The funny lady said "and it's really up to you whether you want to talk about it or not.  I feel like you do because."

Lindsay "I talk too much so I have to stop myself."  Ellen said "and I'll stop you if you talk too much, but right now, its not enough." Lindsay laughed.

Did Lindsay Cheat On Sam Ronson?

Ellen mentioned some of the rumors and asked Lindsay about the fact she was supposedly cheating (on Sam Ronson).  Lindsay said "No, I don't believe in cheating someone."  Ellen said "you don't believe in cheating so you didn't cheat."  Ellen continued "and all the restraining orders?"  Lindsay continued "I watched my father do that to my mother my entire life, so I really don't."  Ellen said "said you don't cheat."

What Really Happened With The Restraining Order?

Ellen said "and what about the restraining order...did she?"  Lindsay started laughing "I have no idea"  Ellen said "you had no idea?"  Lindsay said "what am I gonna do? I was like I don't understand.  It came out of nowhere.  I don't understand.  Like I've supported Charlotte and I've never done anything for that for people to assume I'm dangerous."

Does Lindsay Want To Runaway?

The talk show hostess asked Lindsay "what do you feel you need to do to...do you want to run away from this business...I'll tell you something.  Lindsay "no"  Ellen said "I went through a very public breakup, I kinda lost my career for a little while.  I went away.  I went to Ojai and stayed away for three years and I literally hibernated and I got myself back together.  Do you feel like you want to run away and try to?  What do you feel you want to do right now?"

Lindsay Wants Her Career Back

Lindsay said "I feel like I want to get my career back in shape and I want to.  There's some shows I'm producing that I'm really excited about and I'm doing a movie in October.  It's been nice to just...you know when people are together so much it gets really difficult and you forget who you are because you're so concerned with the other person.  And I think it's been really good for me.  I thought it would be so much harder.  And it hasn't been."

Lindsay Has Great People Surrounding Her

Ellen "what would be harder?" Lindsay "just this whole situation.  And I've had great people surrounding me.  I've just been working every single day."

Ellen "do you feel you have great people surrounding you?"  Lindsay "yes, I do."  Ellen "you do?  Cause I think that's really important too, to feel like somebody around you is elevating you and saying."

Lindsay "I've had to cut so many people out of my life for so many different reasons and it was not fun."  Ellen "do you...I mean I would think it would be scary for you to start dating again because now you're worried who can you trust and gravitating towards someone who's actually going to elevate you."

Is Lindsay Looking For Someone New To Date?

Lindsay "I don't know, I'm not looking to be with anyone now.  I mean, I don't need to do that.  It gets kind of, too distracting.  From everything I need to focus on.  If you're leaving town you miss them too much and you don't want to go sometimes.  No, I really care about Samantha and we'll see what happens.  Maybe when we're both fully in the right place...then."

Did Lindsay Talk To Us Magazine?

Ellen "did you call Us Magazine and talk to them."  Lindsay "it wasn't like that, no."  Ellen said "did they call you?"  Lindsay said "they called, they called everyone I know."  Lindsay continued "they called my mom and she said 'no, I'm not answering this' and they say horrible things about my mom and I have the most amazing mother.  She's been through so much and I mean, I love her so much and it hurts me when people say that about my mom.  The thing about me, they can say whatever they want, I don't care, I know the truth.  And it doesn't bother me because the more I let it get to me they'll keep doing it."

Lindsay Wants To Focus On Her Career

Ellen wrapped up Lindsay's comments.  She said "so you're basically saying you just want to focus on work and you want to try to not let any of this stuff interfere anymore."  Lindsay "yeah, I mean I had a really good opportunity with an amazing actor and its been kind...its been put on hold because of all this garbage that's been coming out."

Ellen "are you going any having meeting?  Are you having a hard time convincing people that you're..."  Lindsay interrupted "no"  Ellen said "you're not having a hard time. So it's just a matter of."

Tabloid Rumers Are Hurting Lindsay's Career

Lindsay said "No....I don't know what happened, everything just fell into place, and everything's moving and going on and it feels really good because I mean I didn't get into this business to be a celebrity on the cover of tabloids.  And I've been a target and I'm not that interesting.  And it's distracting, it distracts people, like the studio heads and everyone, they get nervous.  And I've been through a lot but that doesn't...I was 19, 20 years old when things happened. And you know, I'm ready to work and I'm responsible and I can be on time and I learn from my mistakes."

Danger Of Going To Clubs

Ellen said "Right.  Do you feel that every time you go to a club that's a dangerous situation for you because they're going to find you at a club."  Lindsay said "yeah, of course"  She continued "well maybe not go to clubs."  Lindsay said "so should I not go grocery shopping either because when I do they follow me in the stores and they say I'm buying things I'm not buying."

Ellen said "hold it in front of your face and say "I'm buying this"

Ellen said "you know what I mean.  If you go to the grocery store its one thing, if you go to a club or a nightclub, its another."

Why Lindsay Goes To Clubs

Lindsay "if I go to a club that doesn't mean I'm drinking, that doesn't mean that I'm like cheating on anyone or in a bathroom with someone.  It does not mean that.  It means I'm going to sit with friends and listen to music because I love music and just kinda have fun.   And it's not a bad thing to do that and when I'm working, no...I don't go out.  I don't know, I mean, what are you going to do? Lock yourself away?  I have some really great friends and Natalie Portman has really been there for me through everything and she's just really been there.  And some other people that I turn to and like spend time with and are helping me through."

Ellen "good.  I really think, for me, the thing I find when I've been through, and this is really me, I look at it and I go...do I play a part in this.  How am I helping this to continue in this path, can I avoid the situation again and am I surrounding myself with good people?  Because Lindsay you're so talented.  I mean, we all want the best for you because you are a good person and extremely talented."

A Crazy Crazy World

Lindsay gave Ellen a big hug. Ellen said Lindsay and her were talking about life and how crazy it is and it's a crazy, crazy world.  But sometimes you go in different directions but you know I think. Lindsay said "no one's perfect." Ellen said "but everything's perfect because its perfect in the way it is because its what you get from it.  I mean, nobody's perfect, of course."

Lindsay Wants Samantha Back In Her Life

Ellen said to Lindsay "and you said during the break, do you feel like, if things change between you, between her, do you feel that's it for you all?  Do you think that it for you do you'll get back together at some point.  Or no?"

Lindsay said "yeah, I don't know.  I mean, yes, I hope. And then, but I need to make sure I'm taking care of myself first. I need to, I need to grow up and be a big girl.  And you know, and I've really been working really hard at getting things done.

Lindsay talked about Sevin Nyne which is a spray tanning mist.  She told Ellen that Sevin is her lucky number and the Nyne is someone elses (implying it is Sam Ronson's number) She said she doesn't really go into the sun because she's Irish and get really burnt and her entire family gets tanned except her.  She wanted something that smelled nice and that has things that are good for your skin.
