The History Of Angus Mitchell
Dad was the late and great Paul Mitchell, one of the first superstars of hair, who left London for the States in the swingin' sixties and turned Americans' teased "bubble-do's" into wash-and-wear hair.
Angus' dad went on to create his wildly successful Paul Mitchell haircare product empire, brewing up the shampoos, conditioners and such that would eventually come to rest in hair salon and bathtub ledges around the world.

Where was the budding hairdressers during these halcyon days of hair? Growing up, hanging out with dad and taking it all in. Learning the elements of style. How to craft a great haircut. How to make color pop! The subtle details that turn ordinary into wow.
It didn't hurt that Angus' dad's friends just happened to be the hottest hair crimpers in the world. Angus was there taking in all their moves.
After stints at the Vidal Sassoon Academies in London and LA, he was clipping and curling alongside the very best of them. Ready for action, Angus hit the road, touring internationally with the Sassoon and Paul Mitchell show teams.
Eventually it was time for Angus to strike out on his own. In short order, he had developed an exclusive, private clientele in New York, Beverly Hills, Malibu and Honolulu. Which worked out beautifully, because all of these are places he calls "home."

Angus divides his time between his ranch in Hawaii, his townhouse on the Southern California coast and an apartment in Manhattan. He also travels frequently abroad to cull through the cultures of Europe's capitals for inspiration.
