Miss America 2009 Katie Stam and the 2010 Miss America Contestants Enjoy a Special Night in Orlando

On Friday, August 14, some of the most intelligent, beautiful and talented women in America gathered together for the second annual Miss America Scholarship Gala presented by Westgate Resorts Foundation.   This was the second year that Mr. and Mrs. David Siegel opened up their magnificent home and their hearts to host this wonderful event.

Over $25,000 was raised for the Miss America Scholarship Fund.   The event featured many special highlights including different cuisines from the area’s most prestigious chefs, who created their signature dishes for guests.

Sponsors enjoyed meeting all of the 53 Miss America 2010 contestants, several of whom performed their instrumental talent. The evening was topped off with a silent auction, which included a trip to the 2010 Miss America Pageant.

The event made for a memorable evening! In attendance were Miss America 1962 Maria Fletcher, along with Miss America Organization Board Members, Chairman Sam Haskell, III; Miss America 1964 Donna Axum Whitworth; Lynn Hackerman Weidner and Ed Peterson.

Miss America 2009 Katie Stam was the special host of the evening and was presented with a beautiful portrait of herself that was created by renowned artist, Neil Loeb.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
