Banishing Bad Hair Days since 1997!™

Braided Big Hair Texture!

Before Shear Genius 3 (SG3) started I was fortunate to take part of a 2 hour conference call with the always charming SG3 judge Kim Vo and host Camilla Alves.

During the phone call Camilla stated she would be wearing different hairstyles for every single segment.  She shared that her own hair is naturally curly and when left to its own devices is big and bouncy.

Camilla explained she would showcase a lot of different hairdos each week of the SG3 show taking advantage of her natural curls as well as going with altered textures, lengths and styles.

In The Elimination Challenge on Episode 2 the contestants had to create hairstyles which incorporated the textures of different food dishes created by the chief at LA's famous Roosevelt Hotel.

Camilla's hair was styled with tons of texture and defined by a circular rows of tiny braids which originated at her hairline and extended back to the crown.  The rest of her hair was styled into a big fro style which played offer her natural curls.

Her hairstyle actually worked with the theme of the Elimination Challenge while showing off her gorgeous natural texture.
