Braided Hairstyle For Homecoming How To

Braided Hairstyle For Homecoming How To

If you want to make a grand entrance at Homecoming consider adopting a romantic side braid created in conjunction with tousled texture throughout the top and sides.

This romantic braided hairstyle combines multiple textures from sleek to tousled volume and uneven plaits.

Although it works best with long or very long hair of medium to straight texture, it can be created with long clip-in or fusion style extensions.

Step By Step How To

A deep side messy part is a great starting point for this soft, sexy, but dramatic look.  Create the deep hairline to crown part using fingers of the tail of a long tail comb on hair which has been blow dried straight with a 100% boar bristle paddle brush.

After creating the deep side part brush all of the hair adjacent to the hairline brush all of the top hair up and over to one side.  For lots of volume use a brush to backcomb to the desired height.  Direct all the rest of  the hair to one side.  Pull it forward over one ear and one shoulder.  Plait hair into a loose and messy three strand braid.  This braided hairstyle combines urban romance with edge.  Use fingers to gently lift pieces to create a tousled look.

Add 1-2 drops of shine serum into the palms of your hands and massage together.  Swipe the serum infused hands over the top of your hair and braids to add instant shimmer.

The strands are free-flowing and can be worn down or wrapped up into a side chignon or knot.  The beauty of this hairstyle is that it has a fabulous shape.

Combined with a dreamy top or gown, this braid would finish the fantasy.

Mary Kate Olson (to the side) took her own tousled side braid and pulled it up over the top of her head and pinned it into place in lieu of a headband.
