This event spotlights the state of Mississippi's involvement in the 2010 Great American Cleanup, which mobilizes millions of volunteers for 30,000 community improvement events in all 50 states from March 1 through May 31.
Caressa helped kickoff the Great American Cleanup in the morning with the Green Starts Here rally, where state and local officials, volunteers from across the state, school children and members of the Keep America Beautiful organization came together to show their support for green living and beautification.
She then participated in several cleanup projects throughout the day around Pass Christian.
