Hailee Steinfeld Elegant Updo With Glam Headband At 2011 Oscars

Hailee Steinfeld was absolute perfection at the 2011 Oscars held at the Kodak Theater on Sunday (February 27) in Los Angeles.

The 14-year-old True Grit star who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar wore an age-appropriate tea-length Marchesa tulle ballerina-style gown in pale pink.

Her gown was accessorized with a diamond and platinum Fred Leighton headband, a Ferragamo clutch and gorgeous shoes.  She could have passed as a princess.

When asked about her gown the young actress told Ryan Seacrest she had actually designed her one of a kind Marchesa frock.

She told Seacrest "When I found out I was getting the opportunity to come here I drew something out and this is like, exactly what I had in mind.  So I'm absolutely, I absolutely love it, I'm in love with it."

Hailee who was spectacular in True Grit had her light chocolate brown hair pulled up and off her face, coiffed into a beautifully finished updo.  Perfectly arranged barrel curls cascaded  from the top of her crown and were neatly anchored to the back of her head.  The gorgeous Fred Leighton headband pulled her look together.

The 14-year-old Best Supporting Actress nominee, who ultimately lost out to The Fighter's Melissa Leo, dished to Seacrest about what it's like to be up for that little golden statue at such a young age and how she mentally prepared herself for the show.

She said, "honestly, it's crazy.  I try not to analyze it too much because it freaks me out…but I mean, it was just a year ago I was auditioning for the role.  So to be here really feels like a huge accomplishment.  And I'm so honored and so blessed to be in this position!  It's amazing."

Seacrest asked Hailee "did you last night before you went to sleep, did you play it out in your mind, hearing your name and calling out your name and walking up the stairs and looking out at the faces of all these people you've known, you know, since you were born in movies?"

Hailee replied to Seacrest's question "Honestly I really haven't thought about it too much. I think for me, I'm here. I mean, that's my award. I can't ask for anything else."

Seacrest complimented Hailee on how well spoken she was.  She seemed pleased with his compliment and gave all the praise for her poise to her parents.  She said "my parents have always raised me to be very, I guess, the way I am."  Seacrest said "they did a very good job."

The Goodyear Blimp flashed a message to Hailee which said "Good Luck Hailee Steinfeld".  She said "oh my god, that's amazing."
