A few years ago I had the pleasure of meeting Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis on ABC's Desperate Housewives) in person at one of her annual charity events in Los Angeles. I was amazed at how gorgeous she was in person, without all the traditional TV or film make-up.
She was still married to Tony Parker at the time and he was there to help her with the event. Parker was also friendly and charming in a professional way.
In fact, she had her hair down in a soft ponytail and almost no make-up. She was more gorgeous in person than she appears on the screen. Eva was very sweet to me and very welcoming. I was impressed. Not just because she is a Texas girl like me, but because she's a huge star.
Now Eva is being dogged by a rash of false rumors ranging from the recent report that she's been canoodling with Los Angeles Lakers baller Matt Barnes even though she's been publicly seeing new love Eduardo Cruz (brother of Penélope).
Longoria's story smackdown came just hours after Page Six reported the starlet was spotted having a "flirty dinner" with Barnes, who recently split from girlfriend and Basketball Wives LA star Gloria Govan.
It was also reported by InTouch Magazine that Eva had advised the pregnant Simpson not to tie the knot on 11-11-11 because of her own superstition.
"Wow, some dumb magazine(InTouch) is reporting I told Jessica Simpson to cancel her wedding date because I'm superstitious! So not true!" Longoria tweeted. "My denial is at end of story but they ran it anyway. Makes no sense how they can lie to the public. #annoying."
Eva told Complete Woman in 2006 "I like to laugh at life. You have to-especially the serious issues. It's so much healthier than taking everything so serious." The popular Latina told CW about being constantly scrutinized by the media and papparrazzi "It does bring a little craziness." Eva said "I think the craziness comew when you start to believe your own hype and you just kinda get caught up in all of the superficiality of our business."
Hopefully Eva is continuing to laugh at all the crazy rumors and not taking the business of show business too seriously. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
