On Fringe her portrayal is of a very wise businesswoman and scientist who has seen things she wishes she hadn't throughout the course of her life.

Blair has had a stellar career as an American theater, film and television actress.  She has had great success with a number of high profile roles including winning a Tony for her turn in the play Copenhagen on Broadway.   Many fans remember her for her work as Molly Dodd on the comedy-drama The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1987 to 1991).

The Cut: Blair's hair is cut into a one length bob with slight layering to give the hairstyle beautiful shape and movement.   Her length extends between her chin and the top of her collarbone.

The Fringe: A full forehead hugging fringe is cut with slight layering and extends from an off-center part.  Her fringe usually extends down to the eyebrows but is tapered on each side to blend perfectly into the sides.

Hair Color:  Blair's base color is a medium to dark cinnamon red that appears to have an array of subtle highlights around the hairline and lowlights throughout the crown and the interior.  The colors are blended with precision.

Hair Care: Although Blair's cinnamon red tresses complement her skin tone, eyes and face shape beautifully, it is a color which will fade very quickly.  It's important to take very special care of any type of red hued strands to maintain the richness of the reds.

To care for the beautiful red hues only shampoo as often as absolutely necessary in lukewarm water.  When possibly use a Diluted Shampoo formula (DS), a low poo, no poo or a Water Only (WO) rinse.  Or you may wish to utilize a product designed for red hair or colored treated hair.

It would also be helpful to air dry as often as possible.  When drying use a blow dryer set on a low, cool speed.  Heat styling tools can also cause red hair to fade.

Hair Styling: Apply a styling cocktail to towel blotted damp strands which has been detangled in the shower.

Your cocktail may include, but not be limited to a leave-in conditioner, defrisant, straightening or styling cream or gel and a heat protectant.

You may also wish to use a root lift product to add volume at the crown and throughout the roots.  Spray or apply the root lifting products right before blow drying.

Blow dry hair using fingers to pull individual sections tight.  This will create a very sleek finish.  If you prefer, use a 100% boar bristle paddle or round brush to hold end tights.

Direct blow dryer air flow down from the roots to the ends.  Optionally you may wish to turn the ends slightly under with the brush to create a sleek finish.

Finish by applying 1-2 dabs of shine serum, cream or spray to the palms of your hands and massage together.  Swipe the top of your hands over the top of your finished hairstyle to add shine and seal in moisture and prevent frizz.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
