Brad Pitt Gathering Award Noms

Brad Pitt is having a great year and now he's racking up the awards.  It was announced today that he's been nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in Moneyball.  He was also recently nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) and a Spirit award.

Hollywood insiders are speculating that he will also be nominated for the Oscars as well.  Often the Globe nominations are closely tied to the Oscars so it very likely Brad's name will be on the Academy's list for 2012.

It was also announced that he will be honored at the Palm Springs Film Festival to celebrate his amazing work in Moneyball and Tree of Life.

Palm Springs Festival Chairman Harold Matzner states:

Brad Pitt consistently mesmerizes audiences with the depth and versatility of his performances. He has the rare ability to interpret and capture the most complicated facets of human nature, infusing his roles with strength and emotion.

In The Tree of Life, he portrays a father whose sensitive son tries to make sense of their relationship and understand the wrongs of a difficult childhood. In Moneyball, he faces failure head on and draws upon his dormant, though fierce competitive nature to become a standout in the world of major league baseball management.

Daily Hair Tip
In a Clairol Professional survey 33% of the respondents reported that they preferred to have their hair colored in a salon rather than risk doing damage at home. 50% of the participants said they liked their colorists best because of friendliness while only 38% valued good advice about haircolor or the fact that the colorist kept up on the latest trends.
