Jennifer Aniston Explains Those Extra Pounds

Now that Jennifer Aniston has a new love, Justin Theroux, she's been on constant bump alert by the media.  Obviously anyone who gets either a shot of Jen with an obvious baby bump or gets an exclusive quote that she's actually pregnant will made a lot of cash.

InStyle Magazine understands how much money they can make from just having Jennifer Aniston in their magazine, which they do as often as possible.  Coming up in the January 2012 issue Jen spills some of her secrets about her self esteem, cosmetic surgery and yes, those mysterious new pounds on her normally pin thin body.

The A-lister told InStyle that injectable plastic surgery like Botox or even minor procedures can be a "slippery slope." She told the magazine “People think that I do a lot of injections, but I don't. I'm not saying that I haven't tried it…but I see how it's a slippery slope. All that cosmetic stuff looks ridiculous on me.”

As far as her self confidence and feelings about her body she confessed “I was a dumpy teenager. My mom was a model and was all about looks, so I rebelled by going goth. It took me years of peeling back the onion to finally stop using makeup as a mask and feel comfortable in my skin.”

As far as those extra pounds which have shown up on her body and which triggered a bump alert she told InStyle she's given up smoking cigarettes.  Anyone who has been following Jen for years knows that smoking was one of those vices she was constantly trying to kick but with little luck.

She told InStyle "I quit smoking a few months ago and I put on a couple of pounds," she revealed. "Normally I'd be like, 'Oh my god, I gained weight! Everyone is going to think I'm pregnant!'... Now, I just don't care."

Good for Jen.  Smoking has been known to age even the most wrinkle free face and of course  it is not recommended by the health profession.

Daily Hair Tip
For a low maintenance style, try to work with your natural hair type rather than against it. For example, if your hair is naturally wavy, select a hairstyle that works easily with the waves.
