It's a surprise to many to discover Carrie has naturally textured hair which she always wears straight or with just a hint of wave.  Her natural hair color is a dark blonde, bordering on brunette, but she likes to keep it a lighter shade of blonde.

The best way to steal Carrie Underwood's trademark long hairstyle with lots of root lift is to use volumizing products.  Not only does Carrie rock long lush waves, she showcases lots of sexy volume throughout the roots and top of her beautiful blonde tresses.

Carrie is definitely has glamor girl big bodacious hair.

Follow the steps below to steal Carrie Underwood's trademark long hairstyle:

1.  Cleanse detangled textured hair in lukewarm water utilizing Rene Furterer - Volumea Volumizing Shampoo.

The Volumea Volumizing Shampoo brings body and bounce to fine and limp hair. Enriched with natural Carob extract, this product creates volume in the hair from root to end.  Hair is softened, perfectly detangled and regains amplified, but lightweight, with long-lasting volume as well as shine.

Note:  If you have super dry or damaged strands you may wish to cleanse with a diluted shampoo (DS) or similar hydrating formula. Dilute by mixing 1/8th teaspoon of shampoo in 1 quart of lukewarm water in a clean plastic bottle shaken to form a foam.

After hair is completely drenched with water, drizzle the foam over the top of your head.  Let the suds flow down the length of your strands.  Pat the foam into the rest of the strands.

2.  Rinse shampoo completely from strands with lukewarm water.

3.  Use fingers like playing an accordion to gently squeeze excess water from hair.

4.  Apply a volumizing featherweight rinse-out conditioning formula like Rene Furterer - Volumea Volumizing Conditioner on the hair adjacent to the top of the ears down to the ends.

5.  Use a wide tooth comb and/or of your fingers to gently detangle from ends up to the roots.  Work slowly in 1-2" sections around the entire head.

6.  Once hair is completely detangled, rinse completely.

7.  Finish with a cool or cold water rinse to add natural shine and encourage curl formation.

8.  Towel blot strands to remove excess water.

9.  To amp up the volume like Carrie does, apply an orange size amount of the Rene Furterer - Volumea Volumizing Shampoo  to the palms of your hands.  Mix well and finger pick through damp strands.  If your hair is naturally textured you might also wish to layer with a straightening balm.

The Rene Furterer Volumea Volumizing Foam brings body and structure to fine and/or limp hair.  The natural Carob extract in the product  creates volume in the hair from root to end. An anti-static ingredient provides a controlled look so hair dries soft, shiny and regains a natural, but flexible volume.

If your hair isn't fine or thin, you may prefer to use Rene Furterer - Style - Vegetal Mousse - Volume & Hold to provide your hair with  structure, volume and long-lasting hold.

The Vegetal Mousse boasts a high concentration of Cakile, a plant from the coastal dunes as well as Vitamin B-5.  These ingredients have anti-dehydration properties which are fabulous for curls and naturally textured hair.

10.  To create lots of lush volume, bend over at the waist and rest your hair in the cup of a {{asin=B0052BHMOO,text=long finger diffuser}} like the Conair 276R Infiniti Pro Volume Dryer.

Optionally you can blow dry hair straight bent over at the waist by directing air flow from the ends up to the roots.  When hair is almost dry, bend back over and finger smooth hair as you blow dry the hair completely dry.

11.  Add additional volume and/or slight waves by setting hair in large hot rollers in 2" sections.

If you prefer, you can separate hair into 2" sections, roll around a 2" barrel curling iron for a few seconds and then re-roll to form a faux roller.  Pin against the scalp and allow hair to dry.

12.  Once hair is completely cool, remove the hot rollers or unpin the faux rollers.  Use fingers to smooth and arrange for maximum volume.
