Definition of Dreadlocks
Dreadlocks are referred to by several names including dreads, locks or locs. Dreadlocks consist of sections of matted hair which have been knotted and twisted in on itself. The hair hasn't been combed, brushed or even handled in some way.
Dreadlocks can be started and dreaded from scratch on hair, or the process can be sped up with a dread perm.
Extension hair which has been previously dreaded can also be applied through a traditional fusion method.
The different between regular hair extensions is that the add-on hair knotted and twisted rather than straight.
