The pop indie star is back for her next act, and her wildly textured chin-length center-part shaggy lob suits her perfectly.
Her current golden blonde hued hairstyle is one part edgy chaos and one part mesmerizing.
It almost has a feral quality to it as she gyrates on stage, and her hair is ablaze with stage lights.
Rogers is famous for her willingness to let loose and express herself through her music, lyrics, and motion.
It appears to have it's own energy. Her strands sparkle, bounce and bob in time to the singer's sinuous movements.
In February of 2019 Rogers told Refinery29.com about her stage performances. Her focus wasn't on her movements. She said:
"I'm not thinking about jumping and dancing around on stage, even though that happens naturally. I'm thinking more about, How do I feel this song in the deepest way possible? And, How can I communicate those emotions?"
Maggie's life journey has been full of twists and turns since she released her first and second studio albums, Heard It in a Past Life (2019), and Surrender (2022).
The stunning singer is back with her third album, Don't Forget Me out now (April 12, 2024) on Capitol.
Before that she released two independent album's, The Echo and Blood Ballet.
The singer is famous for shedding whatever no longer serves her whether it's a hair color, cut or style.
As recently as 2022 Rogers chopped all her hair off into a shockingly short pixie.
Her last work, Surrender, was all about breaking free and finding her joy amid the chaos of her life. If breaking free means cutting off all her hair, so be it.
She graduated from New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in May 2016 with a degree in music engineering, production and English.
In September 2021, Rogers tweeted that she had started graduate school at Harvard Divinity School.
She was "studying the spirituality of public gatherings and the ethics of power in pop culture" and to learn "how to keep art sacred".
She graduated in May 2022 with a master's degree in religion and public life, writing a thesis which "examined cultural consciousness, the spirituality of public gathering and the ethics of pop power."
Don’t Forget Me marks Rogers first album since she completed graduate school.
She told Vogue Magazine, "The record is about memory and nostalgia." The songwriter, performer confided to Vogue, “You know, I was sort of writing these songs as if they were scene by scene in a movie.”
How cool is that? Almost as cool as her gorgeous textured infused shaggy hairstyle. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
