Tricia Brown Reports In On Avon 3-D Breast Cancer Walk

Note From Tricia Brown To HairBoutique.com

Hi Everyone: Well, in 5 weeks I will be off and not running but walking my way from Bear Mountain State Park to Morningside Park in New York City. I had been asked early in my training how many miles the walk was and how far would we be walking each day.

Well, I'm happy to say that I have the published mileage (listed below). Now some of this might change between now and then but for the most part it give me something in which to go by. On Day 1 we will be leaving Bear Mountain State Park following our opening ceremonies and immediately heading south. We will be strolling on the Hudson River Greenway Trail before arriving at our first pit stop. The Greenway Trail runs parallel to the Hudson River, through the woods of the Palisades Interstate Park system.

We will pass through several old towns in Rockland County just before lunch. Then our final stop will be at the camp grounds along the edge of Rockland Lake State Park. Total miles we will have walked that first day will be approximately 17.5 miles. On Day 2 our day will begin with a scenic walk through the woods to the edge of the Hudson, where we'll pick up the Hudson River Greenway Trail. Friends and Family have been invited to cheer for us at Memorial Park in downtown Nyack. The remainder of the day will be spent in the suburban neighborhoods and about a half dozen north Jersey towns. We will camp out at Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood, New Jersey. Total miles for that day will be approximately 21 miles. On our final Day 3, they will try and get the hardest part of the day's walk over early. We will have a mile-long climb on the Seven Sisters Hill in Englewood. Then one of the biggest treats for us will be walking into New York City across the George Washington Bridge.

We will have lunch in Riverbank State Park and then proceed on to Morningside Park for the Closing Ceremonies. Total miles approximately 11.5.

I hope that some of you will be able to come on out on the final day to cheer me on as we walk in. But if you can not it is understandable and just your encouragement and thoughts will help get me to the end. With the time fast approaching, the butterflies in my stomach have started their dance. Thank you all so much for everything. I know that I can complete this because of your encouragement and faith. Tricia P.S. Just as an added reminder - anyone still wanting to pledge, may do so. September 15th is the mail in deadline but I can bring in pledges on Day Zero (Thursday, October 12th). Thanks.

Daily Hair Tip
Choose hair care products to suit your specific hair type. Be willing to try several brands until you find a hair care product line that makes your hair look and feel fabulous. Recognize that all hair care products don't always work well on all hair types.
