Zooey rocked an eyebrow skimming fringe which was carefully separated with one strand hanging down in the center.
She had a gorgeous hair accessory pinned to one side that perfectly matched her gown. It appeared to be a type of hair flower although I had a hard time of getting a good look.
The fringe perfectly blended at each side of the hairline and was swept up into the back where her hair was wrapped into a soft mid-back bun.
Zooey was wearing a soft lavender one-shoulder knee-length gown with a flower on the top of one shoulder.
So why might you wonder would Zooey Deschanel, a film star, appear at the Grammy Awards? Hmmm. Good question. Zooey recently became engaged to musician Ben Gibbard who is the lead singer of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service.
Death Cab for Cutie was nominated for best alternative music album. Which explains why Ben and the rest of the band was present at the awards.
Introducing Alison Krauss And Robert Plant
The actress looked beautiful but was playing second fiddle to her future husband and the band until she had the great honor of announcing the performance of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant who performed together. The duo had already won a Grammy Award earlier in the evening.
Zooey actually did not walk with her finance down the Red Carpet and was spotted by herself. Maybe the band wanted to walk the carpet together and since Zooey was presenting she chose to arrive by herself? Will we ever know?
Bringing Back Notes Not In Perfect Pitch
The band was interviewed on the Red Carpet at the Grammy Awards. They were talking about stamping out "autotune abuse" in music. Huh? Ben Gibbard and Zooey's future hubby, was talking about the need to bring back notes that aren't perfectly in pitch.
According to Ben notes which are not perfect in pitch gives songs and recording some sould and some kind of character. He pointed out "it's how people really sing".
To show solidarity the other band member were wearing blue ribbons for blue notes pinned to their jackets.
The band did not win The Grammy Award. They were beat out by Radiohead. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique. I look forward to meeting new people from all walks of Twitter and learning from their Tweets.
