Bone's Star Emily Deschanel Announces Pregnancy
And Leaves Bones Plots In QuestionEmily Deschanel, 34, is the c0-star of the popular Fox series "Bones." Deschanel who plays forensic scientist Dr. Temperance Brennan is the partner of FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth played by David Boreanaz.
The chemistry between Booth and Brennan sizzles, but the writers have kept the two partners apart other than as professional peers working to solve crimes.
Deschanel who married actor David Hornsby (Rickety Cricket on FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") on September 25, 2010, recently announced her pregnancy with a due date later in 2011. People and Us Weekly have confirmed this news.
Fans of the long running series which wraps its sixth season in the next few episodes wonder whether the writers will finally give Booth and Brennan a proper hook-up resulting in an on-screen pregnancy?
Of course the other option is for the writers to hide Brennan behind big plants, handbags, walls or similar for the duration of her obvious pregnancy.
This will be the first child of Deschanel and Hornsby who have been dating since 2007.
The acting couple tied the knot in a very intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. Deschanel is the older sister of actress, model, songwriter and musician Zooey Deschanel.
Zooey is married to fellow musician Ben Gibbard, lead vocalist for The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. They married in September of 2009.
Emily Deschanel was born in Los Angeles, California on October 11, 1976, the daughter of Academy Award-nominated cinematographer and director Caleb Deschanel and actress Mary Jo Deschanel (née Weir). Her mother is Irish American and her grandfather is French.
She is the great granddaughter of Paul Deschanel, the 11th President of France. She grew up in Italy, Canada, France, Yugoslavia, England and South Africa.
