Actress Emily Erin Deschanel was featured in the February 2006 issue of Allure magazine where she shared Emily Deschanel hair secrets.
On her hit police dramedy series on Fox/TV, Bones, she plays Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan.
Born October 11, 1976 (age 36), the actress is known for her light chocolate brown hair which she wears in no-nonsense styles as Dr. Brennan. Bones premiered in 2005 and has been going strong every since.
Dr. Temperance Brennan Hairstyles
The actress told Allure Magazine "my character is very buttoned up on the show, so I try to keep the makeup to a minimum. My hair has been stick-straight, up in a ponytail, wavy and down - it changes daily."
Are the hairstyles worn by Dr. Brennan reflective of the actress in her off-camera life? She shared her own personal hair secrets with Allure when they asked which type of hairstyle is closest to her own style.
She said "I'm a combination of both. I go out without makeup during the day, but at night, it makes me feel good to do my makeup, wear a dress, and put on heels - I'm a big believer in high heels."
Dr. Brennan Marries Agent Seeley Booth
Fans of the Bones series have been pushing hard for a romantic connection to develop between Dr. Brennan and her partner - Agent Seeley Booth played by actor David Boreanaz. Eventually the couple fell in love and had a baby together. During the current season, the couple is scheduled to have a beautiful on-screen TV wedding.
According to TV Guide Magazine, the wedding will take place during the October 21st episode and the traditionally uptight Dr. Brennan wears a $4,800 off-white wedding gown by Romona Keveza.
The actress reportedly only had a few minutes to select a bridal gown from a selection presented to her and chose one that she felt best reflected the character.
A Beautiful Bridal Braided Updo
Bones also had her hair done up in a beautiful bridal braid which worked beautifully with her gorgeous wedding attire.
Although famous for keeping her hair straight, conservative and simple as Dr. Brennan, TV Guide reported that Brennan "has long fantasized about a storybook wedding."
Obviously the character pulls out all stops for her TV wedding to Agent Booth. The actress noted "even though her life changed (on the show), she still held on to this dream, and I think that's wonderful."
Keeping Hair Real On Bones
It's always great when a series honors the hair of the characters.
Even though Emily Deschanel has been spotted on Red Carpet appearances with her hair worn in beautiful waves with lots of volume and shine, her on-screen character has stayed true to her career as an anthropologist, forensic anthropologist, and kinesiologist.
Afterall, when she's trying to solve crimes, she has the potential to get all sorts of human remains in her luscious brunette locks.
Summary - Emily Deschanel Hair Secrets
It appears that art is imitating life as Dr. Brennan gets married. The actress married actor and writer David Hornsby on September 25, 2010 during a small private ceremony in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles.
Their son Henry Lamar Hornsby was born on September 21, 2011.
Although both Emily Deschanel and her character have had happy endings by marrying their loves, the Bones series may be in jeopardy as it's been revealed that actor David Boreanaz wishes to leave the series after this season.
Even though Emily Deschanel has indicated she wants to continue the show, it's anyone's guess what might happen if her new husband and partner leaves the series. Please follow us on Twitter at: https://Twitter.com/HairBoutique.
